Here at Lullaby Creek we actually work with a lot of horses, as well.
We usually end up with a few rescues a year we rehab, retrain, and place in forever homes. Some land here and stay forever, some we are blessed to be able to help them and get them on a better path and in a wonderful, new loving home.
I also dabble in organic gardening both food and flowers. I am trying to create a space for pollinators and natural flora and fauna. So many native species of both plants and animals are being lost at alarming rates. Even just a small garden space can make a huge impact on local species. Consider adding some native plants to your yard!
We also of course raise ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats. We currently have a very small herd.
I am slowly learning how to make soaps, lotions, cheese, and other goat related products. If there is something you are interested in or looking for please reach out!
We also have some chicks, we are hoping to add lots of colorful eggs to our tables soon. Currently we have Sapphire Gems, which are a more rare breed. I am hoping to add Black Copper Marens, and Araucana.
We hope to eventually add miniature cows, and maybe even some bees in the future!
As my self sufficiency adventure rolls on I will post more updates here on mushroom farming, canning, gardening, the animals and more!
